The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of 1 year.An extension is possible.The fixed-term employment is possible as it constitutes one of the fixed-term options of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (German Act on Fixed-term Scientific Contracts).This is a part-time contract position.The standard weekly hours will be bis zu 10 hours.The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.The position corresponds to a pay grade of 15.20 euros per hour.
Unser Profil
The teaching and research area of continuum mechanics deals with the modelling of soft materials, such as rubber, artificial or biological tissue. In addition to developing complex mechanical models, the focus is on implementing these in common finite element programmes. We carry out the necessary mechanical experiments ourselves in our in-house laboratory.
Ihr Profil
* Bachelor's degree and immatriculation in a consecutive course
* Very good knowledge of written English
* excellent knowledge of contginuum mechanics
* experience with Python and programming in general
* knowledge of FEM desirable
* reliable, conscientious, team player

* create programming exercises in Python notebook
* supporting the organisation of teaching
* correction of exercices
